He has been actively involved with Project Access of Wake County and served as past President of Prevent Blindness of North Carolina. Dr. Board is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS), a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS), North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) and the Wake County Medical Society (WCMS).
Raleigh Eye Center is proud to provide ophthalmology, optometry and optical services to patients throughout North Carolina, including Raleigh and the surrounding cities of Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Fuquay Varina, Garner and Wake Forest.
Due to a national shortage of Pediatric Ophthalmologists, we have been unable to find a replacement for Dr. Board. We recommend that those patients who need routine eye exams and have mainly refractive issues (glasses, contact lens wearers) be followed by an Optometrist either at the Raleigh Eye Center or elsewhere in the community. Patients with medical/surgical conditions should be seen by a Pediatric Ophthalmologist.
