• The Final Lock-In: Once you and your doctor are fully satisfied with your vision, a final light treatment permanently locks the prescription into place.

UV-blocking glasses

The UV-blocking glasses that patients are provided, protect the lens from UV light sources other than the Light Delivery Device (LDD) that the surgeon uses to optimize vision. The LAL also offers and additional layer of protection from incidental UV exposure beyond the UV glasses alone, called Activshield.
UV-blocking glasses are required to be worn following the procedure, for a period of 4-6 weeks, depending on the number of light treatments delivered. During this timeframe, the UV-blocking sunglasses should only be removed when absolutely necessary
